Dear SPWLA Members,
There are only a few more days left to register for our upcoming SPWLA day event! As you may know, the theme is “Your Evolving Career”. We are excited to host this event which aims to bring together a wide range of our community across professions and career stage. One of the great features for many of our events is the interesting and enriching conversations that take place. We often have narrow insight into the people in our network, limited to the high level details of industry and titles, until we have the opportunity to engage in conversation and uncover the “good stuff”. We have a great lineup of speakers and event attendees who are doing amazing things in their careers and areas of personal interest. There will be ample time to connect with people and be inspired or learn something new. You are encouraged to bring friends and colleagues! Be sure to register by Wednesday, April 10, to attend this event.
This month’s SPWLA member feature introduces us to Laurie Reynard ’74, MD. She has made what will sure to be a lasting impact on Providence St. John’s Health Center by addressing the gap in psychological support/wellness programs for physicians. Check out her story to learn about her inspiration and initiative.
We still are accepting donations for this year’s fellowship program as we soon will be accepting applicants. The SPWLA Fellowship program provides a scholarship for a Stanford student who works for a local non-profit. You will have the opportunity to meet our fellowship recipient and learn firsthand of the impact made on our local community and the fellowship recipient at our summer fellowship brunch. Please consider participating if you have not already done so. Venmo us at firstname.lastname@example.org or email us to donate by check.
As you may know, the SPWLA 2019 – 2020 board assembly is underway. We actively are recruiting for the following roles:
- Programs Committee
- Social Media Chair
Please contact me at email@example.com if you are interested in joining. We welcome any and all participation so feel free to contact me if there is something else you are interested in doing to support SPWLA.
I hope to see you in a few days at SPWLA Day!
