Carrie Kim ’86 has worked in the real estate development industry for more than 25 years, working for an individual developer and consultant, mainly in the Malibu area. As does anyone who works in a very small company, she wears a lot of hats. She also works as a realtor and helps her husband with his land surveying business. Additionally, she has a micro strength training business that she wants to do more with. Her hobbies include listening to live music, reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Her husband and boys are pretty active, so a lot of their recent vacations have involved scuba diving and skiing. Since her boys have gotten older, she and her husband have been able to attend more concerts and even music festivals, which they really enjoy. She also loves to drink coffee and wine with her friends! When she started attending SPWLA events years ago (before she had children, so about 20 years ago), there was a call for help on the board, and she started by working in Programs, Hospitality and Membership, and then as Student Relations Liaison. At one point several years ago when she was getting very busy volunteering with her kids’ school and other activities, she resigned from the Board, but then came back when the person who was going to fill the position was unable to, and after that she just stayed on as Student Relations Liaison. It keeps her connected to Stanford and to all of the really great women in SPWLA!Student Relations Liaison
